Russell Wright, someone who I consider a 21st century business prodigy and a person whom has taught me a considerable amount of information about promoting business - be it your own or someone else's - pointed me to a new type of social networking platform. Unlike other social networking sites, which really hold very little value to the world other than to create a large amount of "white noise" on the internet, Naymz (I pronounce it "Nay-mz" - not sure if the "Z" should be long or short) appears to be a site that will provide solid value to those who use it.
This platform at first look appears to be a place that will be beneficial to everyone by creating what Russell terms a new type of currency - what the site calls "Repscore."
This could very well become true if the site managers can keep the spammers and internet junk-mongers off of the site. At first glance it seems that their system - which uses citation from third parties to qualify an individuals reputation (i.e. Repscore) - looks fairly strong and robust. And with endorsements from the Chicago Sun-Times, US News and World Report, the Washington Post and USA Today, they just might pull it off.
Since I am currently working to find myself suitable employment in the greater Houston area, this platform could potentially be helpful for my search. I initially have invited several individuals whom I have worked with over the years and will be completing my profile page to include as much information as I can safely include (always important to limit the information you include about yourself online for security reasons).
I look forward to seeing how this new platform - in conjunction with the other things I am doing in the cloud - fits in to the scheme of things.
You can find the site at www.naymz.com.
